Join the GMP for our festive annual Harpers Ferry holiday hike. Expect a short, scenic, 2-3 hour hike of moderate difficulty. Most of the afternoon will be available for exploring the town, shopping, and taking in history. A possible optional post-hike Holiday snack and drink location will be determined. Enjoy a lunchtime interpretive tour of the Suitland Bog with a Naturalist. The Suitland Bog is a wetland site known for its rare plant life. A variety of carnivorous plants, as well as rare and threatened plants, thrive at Suitland Bog.

Join us in a scenic seven mile hike at Sky Meadows State Park, about 1 hour 15 minutes west of DC. This approximately four hour hike is strenuous in parts, with a total elevation gain of about 1,400. After climbing to the ridge we will make a long loop with the current and old Appalachian trails.
